Resources

Compassionate Friends - A non religious international grief support for parents who've lost a child with locations spanning across the globe. Go to the "Find Support" button and click chapters and enter your zip code to find your local meeting. Highly recommended!

National Hospice & Palliative Care Organization provides free grief services for anyone who has recently lost a loved one. The Doula Grief Support Project is a great alternative for the younger generation as there are limited resources available for them.

On a personal note: This organization quickly and efficiently located a local volunteer grief doula when I first lost my son and it saved me when I felt hopeless and had nowhere else to turn. The Zoom sessions with my nurse doula, Dana, were amazing. Nurses are trained in grief counseling!

Spiritual Counseling - Reverend Keith Horwitz is the Spiritual Director of Soul Center OC , an Agape Licensed Minister & Spiritual Practitioner (ALSP)Integrated Energy Therapy® (IET) Trainer/Practitioner & Certified Evolutionary Astrologer.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention - Grief over a suicide can be compounded with guilt, regrets, shame and the stigma attached to it. This site provides local chapters for support in all 50 states and also the opportunity to become active in suicide prevention as a legacy to your loved one.

Newport Academy - This facility focus is primarily on assisting teens with anxiety, depression, OCD, suicide ideation and more.

Hospice Foundation of America A good site to browse for articles and pre-recorded videos.
