The Healing Nature of Qigong

Chris and Parisa Shelton from Shelton Qigong and Morning Crane Healing Arts Center

What a treat to sit down to chat with husband and wife team Chris and Parisa Shelton from Shelton Qigong and Morning Crane Healing Arts Center.

Chris and Parisa are on a mission to teach people how to help themselves through the time-tested ancient practice of Qigong.

Qigong is a holistic practice of harnessing Qi, pronounced Chi, and is another name for life-force- energy or prana. Qigong is a tool to help balance, integrate and release physical, mental and/or spiritual suffering.

The leading cause of death and disease is negative emotions. If you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, feelings like sadness, loss, grief are totally normal, and not inherently “bad.” However, when these emotions are suppressed or repressed, physical symptoms like inflammation and heart disease are the result.

At Morning Crane, they offer private one-on-one sessions, group classes, teacher trainings, in- person and online for the soul purpose of guiding others to naturally reduce stress and relieve pain.

In this podcast, Chris demonstrates the Qigong Heart-Healing Sound, which is an excellent tool to release sadness and grief, especially for those of us who have lost loved ones. He also describes a practice called “Shaking the Tree,” where you can literally shake off negative energy and change how you feel.

Heart- warming stories and experiences are shared for the purpose of giving hope and reminding you that you are not alone.
